Le sperimentazioni riguardanti le condizioni limite di sollecitazione dinamica, locale e sulla struttura sono partite dagli studi su banchi scolastici in uso nelle scuole. Dopo una primissima fase di test statici si è passati a quelli di impatto, simulando la caduta di una porzione di struttura che da quota soffitto (a circa 3 mt) impatta sul banco.
L’effetto di un impatto dovuto ad un grave (ad es. piccola porzione di solaio) del peso di 20/40/60 Kg ha un effetto devastante sul banco tradizionale, e fornisce informazioni nettamente in contrasto con quanto viene oggi proposto nelle esercitazioni della protezione civile per le scuole, dove si indica ai ragazzi, in caso di sisma, la soluzione di rifugiarsi sotto il banco.
L’obiettivo del “Banco Cellula” INNOVATIONS S.r.l. e LUCY PLAST SPA è stato quello di realizzare un banco scolastico che possa resistere, mantenendo la sua funzione di cellula di sicurezza, ai carichi di cui è soggetto. Le prove e le verifiche effettuate sui banchi hanno permesso di raggiungere l’obiettivo prefissato: incrementare notevolmente la resistenza rispetto ai banchi tradizionali fino a 300 kgs di peso impattante dall’alto e di impedire che l’impatto con un grave produca schegge, sezioni acuminate o altri elementi di particolare rischio per gli utenti.
Attraverso nuove e significative caratteristiche di comportamento, resistenza e protezione, il Banco Cellula garantisce una elevata mitigazione del rischio per i giovani allievi e opportunità economicamente e finanziariamente accettabili per la comunità e per le diverse amministrazioni che gestiscono le problematiche della sicurezza nelle scuole.
